Cooking spoon - Spalted Horse Chestnut

My regular cooking spoon shape, carved from locally sourced UK Horse Chestnut wood. Luckily this particular log revealed some lovely spalted grain.

The slight right hand favored bowl end combined with the thinned shovel shape, makes efficient work of moving food around in the pan and lifting underneath items. 

The handle is straight which helps when stirring sauces and when mixing a batter in a bowl.

Size is 23cm long x 4.5cm wide at the bowl.

Finished with food grade cold pressed Swedish Linseed Oil.
