Large Noggin Bowl - Green

An interesting new wooden bowl design I have enjoyed working on suitable for eating meals from, serving snacks, presenting buffet items or for storing fruit and other goods. Based on old wooden cups used during the days of the voyageurs in North America, who transported trade goods in giant canoes along the rivers. They needed a simple lightweight and strong item for food, drinks and for bailing out the canoe all the time being able to be stored close by and taking up very little space. 

Made from UK sustainably sourced Wild Cherry wood.

The size is 23cm long x 13.5cm wide x 5.5cm high at the lowest part of the bowl.
Nice thin walls and rim to keep things light with a comfortable handle at one end which enables the other hand to hold a spoon/fork etc for eating with. Great at festivals and camping trips when table space is limited.

Suitable for hot and cold food.
Painted on the exterior with a green shade of natural milk paint and finished with cold pressed Swedish linseed oil to keep things waterproofed. The upswept handle contains my chip carved and kolrosed fern leaf design.

Lightweight, Insulating, robust and fits perfectly in the hand.

Not suitable for dishwashers.
